Critical Care Paramedic - Helen Keller - PRN - Shift Varies

Responsibilities

• Personal and patient safety
• Patient assessment and emergency care
• Safe lifting and moving
• Patient transport and transfer
• Record keeping and data collection
• Patient advocacy
• Demonstrate leadership qualities
• Mentor other Paramedics/EMT’s
• Care for high acuity patients
• Provide care including ventilator management
• Manage various IV pumps
• Administer multiple medications and blood products simultaneously
• Knowledge of various medications associated with emergency/critical care

Qualifications

• Current Alabama license as a Critical Care Paramedic
• FPC/CCP-C, ACLS, PALS, BLS, BTLS/PHTLS
• 3 years as a licensed Paramedic
• 1 year as a primary care provider in the pre-hospital environment
• Additional Skills/Abilities: capable of working overtime, flexible to scheduling, available for on-call, knowledge of critical care protocols and guidelines
