Crisis Worker, Mobile Crisis Response - 3rd Shift

About the role

Thresholds’ Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) is dedicated to providing services and supports to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. As a Crisis Worker, you will respond to mental health crises in Kankakee County, offering alternatives to hospitalization or police response.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls to the crisis hotline and conduct a safety assessment
• Connect callers to appropriate services or providers
• If necessary, provide face-to-face intervention with a Peer Engagement Specialist
• Assist individuals in crisis with the least restrictive intervention possible
• Distribute basic necessities to individuals in crisis
• Offer follow-up to clients after responding to a crisis
• Document services provided during each shift

Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time
• Occasionally traverse long distances and ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs

Qualifications

• At least 23 years old
• A valid driver’s license (preferred)
• Ability to work assigned schedule: Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am

Base Rate: $26.50 - $30.00 per hour
