About the role

We are seeking dedicated Crisis Service Professionals to provide on‑call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies in Adams and Juneau Counties.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to crisis calls and delivering mobile crisis services
  • Conducting risk assessments and determining appropriate interventions
  • Providing brief crisis counseling and follow‑up care
  • Meeting clients in various settings such as homes, hospitals, or community locations
  • Responding to emergency situations, including potential suicides
  • Gathering information from interviews, records, and collateral contacts
  • Connecting clients to community resources and supports
  • Maintaining relationships with law enforcement, courts, and community partners
  • Documenting all client interactions per legal and organizational standards
  • Identifying service gaps and suggesting improvements
  • Staying current on laws, procedures, and best practices related to crisis intervention

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
  • Preferably, at least one year of experience with mental health clients
  • Knowledge of community resources and relevant laws (Chapters 34, 51, 55)
  • Strong assessment, decision-making, and crisis management skills
  • Ability to work independently and build relationships across diverse populations
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to respond within one hour
