About the role
We are seeking dedicated Crisis Service Professionals to provide on‑call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies in Adams and Juneau Counties.
Responsibilities
- Responding to crisis calls and providing mobile crisis response
- Conducting risk assessments and determining appropriate interventions
- Offering brief crisis counseling and follow-up services
- Meeting clients in various settings such as homes, hospitals, and community locations
- Responding to potential suicide or emergency situations
- Gathering information through interviews and records, assessing client needs
- Connecting clients to community resources and maintaining collaborative relationships with community partners
- Documenting client interactions in compliance with regulations
- Identifying service gaps and recommending improvements
- Staying informed on laws, procedures, and best practices in crisis services
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related fields (e.g., psychology, social work)
- Preferably at least one year of experience working with mental health clients
- Knowledge of community resources and Wisconsin statutes (Chapters 34, 51, 55)
- Strong crisis assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and build effective relationships with diverse populations
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and meeting auto insurance requirements
Schedule
- Flexible on-call schedule with 8 or 16-hour shifts
- Overnight and weekend shifts, with limited daytime hours for meetings and training
