Responsibilities

• Manage the clients who are only in pharmacological service and complete pharmacological ISP's
• Meet with client to obtain vitals, assess compliance, update psychiatrist, and set client up with tele-psychiatrist
• Works closely with the physicians, tele-psychiatry physicians, and/or nurse practitioner(s) regarding the care and treatment of clients receiving psychotropic medication
• Takes verbal orders from physicians and assist with implementation of written orders
• Aids in the obtaining of psychotropic medication via samples or through central pharmacy or calling prescriptions into local pharmacies
• Maintains physical/mental health assessments, obtains vital signs, blood sugar testing, weights, BMI, waist circumferences, toxicology screens and other parameters relevant to medication monitoring and health maintenance
• Provides education on physical/mental wellness in individual and group settings
• Assists with the administration and/or monitoring of prescribed psychotropic medication including injections
• Communicates with case manager, counselors, clinical supervisor, and other members of the treatment team relevant information concerning the care of clients especially those dealing with multiple physical/ mental health care problems
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
• Attends required staff meetings
• Responds to routine and emergency requests for medical assistance
• Communicates with case manager, counselors, clinical supervisor, and other members of the treatment team relevant information concerning the care of clients especially those dealing with multiple physical/ mental health care problems

Requirements

• CPR and First Aide certification required
• Valid Ohio state license as an LPN
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and with clients who have severe and persistent mental illness preferred
• Phlebotomy experience preferred
• Computer skills including familiarity with Windows and Word applications required
• Favorable references and/or evaluations are required

• Must possess a working knowledge of Riveon Mental Health and Recovery Policy and Procedures, including sensitivity and adherence to clients’ rights, confidentiality, and health and safety issues
• Must exhibit sensitivity to different cultures

Skills

• Sensitivity to different cultures

Pay

Pay Range: $22.85 - $27.85 per hour

Schedule

This position operates on 12-hour shifts.
