Join our team at Chicago Behavioral Hospital as a Crisis Mobile Assessor and play a vital role in supporting individuals in psychiatric crisis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mobile assessments to determine psychiatric needs and levels of care.
• Cook up referrals and transfers for appropriate treatment services.
• Provide crisis intervention and facilitate pre-certification of insurance as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including DSM and Mental Status Exams.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, referral sources, and internal teams.
• Aid with memorandums of transfer when coordinating care between hospitals.

Requirements

• Education/Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) or Master’s Degree in a human relations field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling).
• Licensed to practice in Illinois as a mental health professional preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in psychiatric assessments.
• Background: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in psychiatric hospital settings and direct patient/customer contact preferred.
• Additional Requirements: Proficient in DSM and Mental Status Exam. Knowledge of addiction and recovery fields. Must have reliable transportation. Ability to work flexible hours and be part of an on-call rotation.

Pay

The expected compensation for this position is $27.00 per hour.
