About the role
The Crisis Center Recovery Coach and Crisis Center Peer Support Specialist roles at Network180 are dedicated to providing support and interventions for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises and assisting them in accessing necessary services. Both positions are part of a multidisciplinary team-based service that operates within the Crisis Center, which includes a Brief Intervention Clinic and Crisis Stabilization Unit.
Responsibilities
- Crisis Center Recovery Coach:
- Provide interventions for clients experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
- Absorb and model competency in recovery.
- Demonstrate ongoing coping skills.
- Crisis Center Peer Support Specialist:
- Assist individuals in understanding and using mental health and substance use disorders services.
- Model competency in recovery.
- Demonstrate ongoing coping skills.
Requirements
- Crisis Center Recovery Coach:
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years old.
- At least two years of relevant work experience.
- Actively working in a recovery program.
- State of Michigan Certified Peer Recovery Coach or eligible for certification within 90 days.
- Knowledge and skills sufficient for establishing effective relationships.
- Knowledge about substance use disorders.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Crisis Center Peer Support Specialist:
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years old.
- State of Michigan Certified Peer Support Specialist or eligible for certification within 90 days.
- Knowledge about mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders.
- Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, electronic health record, and data entry skills.
- Solid communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Qualifications
- Crisis Center Recovery Coach:
- Long-term, stable recovery from alcohol and other drugs.
- Able to identify with other individuals based on their shared life experiences.
- Substantial life disruption due to substance use condition.
- Experience navigating complex substance use treatment services.
- Crisis Center Peer Support Specialist:
- Primary diagnosis of a mental health condition.
- Strong personal knowledge of mental health conditions.
- Substantial life disruption due to mental health condition.
- Experience navigating complex mental health treatment services.
Skills

Benefits
Network180 offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $17.24 to $22.86 per hour, with additional benefits such as a 10% premium pay and a $2 shift differential for weekend work.
