Criminal Information Technician II

About the role

This researcher position will provide service to the Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI) by researching, obtaining, and updating criminal history data. Projects assigned will include querying informational databases, prosecutors, courts, local law enforcement, and the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigations) for the most accurate and up to date criminal record information.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Criminal Justice entities to gather information
• Maintain and update criminal history records
• Data-collection and facilitating data requests
• Research, analyze, interpret, and present data

Qualifications

• Preference may be given to candidates who:
• Have related criminal history research experience
• Have effective communication skills
• Have experience with UCJIS, Xchange, and Utah Criminal History (UCH)

• Must be a current BCI employee
