Join our American Airlines family, and you’ll travel the world, grow your expertise and become the best version of you. This job is a member of the Crew Scheduling Team within the Integrated Operations Division, responsible for ensuring a complete crew on all American Airlines flights.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors flight progress using Crew Watch, LOFDS, and Screen Printer
  • Operate reporting and messaging tools such as Control Panel, CorpConneX, and the Fatigue Event Management system
  • Maintains and controls system wide coverage on all flights through coordination with IOC personnel including Pilot and Flight Attendant Scheduling
  • Modifies existing sequences and creates new crew sequences to maintain schedule operations affected by misconnections, illegalities, flight cancellations and irregular operations
  • Communicate with crew members using the Voxai phone system
  • Assists Crew Schedule operational employees, when necessary
  • Assists with on the job training for incoming new hires as required

Requirements

The minimum qualifications for this role include a High School diploma or GED equivalency. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree, 1-year Crew Scheduling experience, and knowledge in Operations and Native Sabre/DECS experience.

  • Ability to speak clearly over the telephone and radio, and be understood by crew members regarding assignment, contractual and Federal limits
  • Ability to memorize computer entry codes and city codes
  • Ability to complete complex calculations with accurate values for a crew members duty day and rest that are compliant with labor agreements and Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Ability to understand the 24-hour clock and worldwide time zones in daily conversations with crew members
  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend the Pilot and Flight Attendant labor agreements
  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend Federal Aviation Regulations 14 CFR Part 121 and 14 CFR Part 117
  • Ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work overtime as required, sometimes with little or no advanced notice
