About the role
This job is a member of the Crew Scheduling Team within the Integrated Operations Division. Responsible for leading a staff of 100+ Crew Coordinators, Crew Trackers, Crew Tracking Supervisors, and Crew Schedule Managers on Duty in a 24/7 operational environment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the successful tracking of flight crews ensuring they remain legal and available to complete their sequences
- Implement procedures and practices for accomplishing departmental objectives and maintaining contractual compliance
- Responsible for internal staffing levels ensuring there is coverage to support the operational plan
- Leverage data or reporting to recommend optimal solutions for complex challenges
- Lead a team of supervisors helping them to develop as leaders of people, guiding them to do so in a way that allows them to effectively meet operational goals
- Works closely with Inflight and Flight Labor Relations, IOC Leadership, Safety and Regulatory, APFA and APA teams
- Partner with IOC Technology and IOC Analytics team to continue improving speed to recovery following IROPS
- Drives the onboarding process, which includes all aspects of the selection process, and the support of the training program for new hires
- Leads, supports, and motivates their team in their stated career progression, which includes providing opportunities for them to apply learned skills
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 7 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Operational experience, particularly with a focus on continuous improvement in both processes and leadership
- 5 years of leadership experience in crew operations or customer service
Skills
- Superior organizational, analytical and leadership skills
- Ability to concurrently handle multiple responsibilities
- Previous supervisory experience
- Must pass background reference check and criminal fingerprint check
- Ability to respond to customer inquiries, provide appropriate solutions and follow up to ensure resolution
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify unique department needs while balancing overall employee engagement
- Extensive working knowledge of the APA/APFA working agreement, crew scheduling procedures and related Federal Air Regulations preferred
- General knowledge of Company policies, procedures, and programs
