About the Role

Goldfish Swim School is looking for confident, dependable Swim Instructors who will play a key part in advancing our mission to teach all children how to be safe in and around the water. In this role, you're not just teaching kids how to swim—you will make a real, life-changing impact by teaching life-saving water safety skills, all while creating a fun, positive experience for families.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to children ages 4 months–12 years old using Goldfish's proven, play-based curriculum
• Create a safe and positive learning environment
• Communicate clearly with families about swimmer's progress
• Maintain pool safety
• Be a supportive, professional teammate on and off the pool deck

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Strong communication skills and reliability
• Swim instruction, lifeguard, structured childcare, or teaching experience preferred (1–3 years)
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certification preferred (training provided if not yet certified)

Training & Growth

• Paid training provided
• Lifeguard certification is required while employed (courses made available for completion within 90 days of employment)

Pay

$17 – $19 per hour

Schedule

• Part-time role
• Minimum of 2 shifts per week (shift length ranging from 3–6 hours per day)
