About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking Crew Member to join our Catholic coffee and brunch spot. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys serving others, working with people, and being part of a welcoming, faith-centered environment. The Crew Member will primarily be responsible for customer service, preparing drinks, operating the cash register, warming and plating food, light food preparation, and maintaining a clean and inviting space. This is not a traditional cook position. Most food preparation consists of warming prepared items, assembling menu items, and completing basic prep.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service & Register
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
- Take customer orders accurately at the register.
- Process cash, credit/debit, and other forms of payment.
- Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations when appropriate.
- Maintain a welcoming and respectful atmosphere for all guests.
- Help ensure customers have a positive experience from the moment they enter until they leave.
- Drink Preparation
- Prepare coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, specialty beverages, and other menu drinks according to recipes and standards.
- Prepare cold drinks, smoothies, or other specialty beverages as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized drink station.
- Restock cups, lids, syrups, milks, coffee, and other supplies throughout the shift.
- Food Preparation
- Warm and prepare prepared food items according to established procedures.
- Complete basic food prep and assembly.
- Plate and package food orders appropriately.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Properly store and label food and ingredients.
- Communicate with the team when ingredients or supplies are running low.
- Cleaning & Organization
- Keep the dining room clean, welcoming, and organized.
- Wipe and sanitize tables and other customer areas.
- Sweep and maintain floors as needed.
- Clean and organize kitchen prep areas.
- Wash dishes and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Take out trash and recycling.
- Clean and maintain the coffee and beverage stations.
- Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Friendly and positive attitude.

- Comfortable interacting with customers.
- Able to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Willingness to learn drink recipes and preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous restaurant, coffee shop, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shift.
- Food safety certification may be required depending on local requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies weighing approximately 25-40 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, clean, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in a busy food-service environment.
Pay
$12.00 to $14.00 hourly
