Location: McCarran, NV | Sign-on Bonus: $3500

About the role

This position includes a $3,500 sign-on bonus, paid in three installments over your first year of employment at the 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month employment milestones. Each installment is contingent upon active employment and being in good standing with the company at the time of payment. Sign-on bonus payments are treated as taxable income and subject to applicable withholdings. Travel to the McCarran, NV area is required. Overtime is available.

The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling is the on-site supervisor and coordinator for voice and data installation projects. This role ensures job completion in accordance with company and customer quality and safety standards while maintaining crew efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage major project crews; own crew performance and on-the-job training; ensure adherence to company and customer safety and quality standards; hold weekly safety meetings; initiate performance-related communications and escalate to the Project Manager as needed
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager and Project Lead to drive productivity, job completion, and project budget compliance
  • Complete all IES Communications and project paperwork accurately and on time including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, and tool transfers
  • Perform quality checks; coordinate moves and cut sheets for voice and data cross connects; prepare red-lined as-built drawings
  • Serve as the primary on-site customer contact for questions and concerns; attend facility and construction meetings as required
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve field issues as they arise
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Pay

Min USD $26.00/Hr. Max USD $31.00/Hr.

Work Environment

  • Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor construction environments, travel within branch or regional territory as needed, and work at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces
  • Must be able to stand and walk large jobsites regularly
  • Regular attendance is mandatory

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, move up to 75 pounds, distinguish colors, read small print, and recognize audible signals such as dial tones

  • Self-motivated, professional, and positive in approach
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to read, write, and present effectively
  • Proven ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents including quality and reporting requirements
  • Able to serve as the company liaison and interface directly with customer representatives
  • Promotes company culture and mission to employees, vendors, clients, and business partners
  • Supports process improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of universal communications color codes required
  • Ability to terminate fiber required

Education And Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum three years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical field
  • Minimum six months of supervisory or managerial experience
  • Proficient with all required tools including fiber termination
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and MS Project
  • Knowledge of universal communications color codes required
