Credit Processor

About the role

DuPont Community Credit Union (DCCU) is seeking a Credit Processor to join its high performing, rapidly growing Consumer Credit department. The role is on-site at our Waynesboro, VA location.

Responsibilities

• Provide loan decisions and/or credit recommendations based on a review of all underwriting criteria.
• Educate and provide courteous, timely, and effective support to DCCU employees on Consumer Lending functions, including Home Equity processing, title record management, and consumer loan Quality Control.
• Ensure consumer loans are documented in compliance with current Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, including applicable state and federal requirements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in real estate lending, with a focus on processing and document preparation for all Home Equity loan requests.
• Communicate and coordinate with appropriate vendors, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), auto dealers, and other external partners as needed.
• Facilitate and perform administrative duties associated with Debt Protection and GAP claims, ensuring accurate and efficient administration of related programs.
• Support operational excellence by ensuring lending processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years experience in all Consumer Loan Products is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to work with confidential files.

• Competitive starting hourly range of $22.19 to $26.11.
