About the role
DuPont Community Credit Union (DCCU) is seeking a Credit Processor to join its high performing, rapidly growing Consumer Credit department. The role is on-site at our Waynesboro, VA location.
Responsibilities
- Provide loan decisions and/or credit recommendations based on a review of all underwriting criteria.
- Educate and provide courteous, timely, and effective support to DCCU employees on Consumer Lending functions, including Home Equity processing, title record management, and consumer loan Quality Control.
- Ensure consumer loans are documented in compliance with current Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, including applicable state and federal requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in real estate lending, with a focus on processing and document preparation for all Home Equity loan requests.
- Communicate and coordinate with appropriate vendors, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), auto dealers, and other external partners as needed.
- Facilitate and perform administrative duties associated with Debt Protection and GAP claims, ensuring accurate and efficient administration of related programs.
- Support operational excellence by ensuring lending processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years experience in all Consumer Loan Products is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail.

- Ability to work with confidential files.
