About Our Client:The organization operates a global network of Accounting Shared Service Centers designed to consolidate and standardize accounting processes across multiple regions, including Europe, North America, and China. It is part of a large media corporation with operations in media, services, and education sectors, spanning approximately 50 countries and encompassing various subsidiaries in broadcasting, publishing, music, services, printing, education, and investments. 2. About the Opportunity:The Credit & Collections Associate role focuses on managing customer accounts by evaluating credit applications, monitoring outstanding balances, and ensuring timely collection of payments. This position is key to maintaining healthy financial operations by reducing credit risk and supporting accurate account management. 3. Responsibilities:Review and process credit-held orders to ensure timely resolutionRespond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and emailInvestigate claims and process debit, credit, or denial adjustmentsResearch and resolve customer account inquiriesBuild and maintain positive customer relationshipsMaintain accurate account records and payment historiesAnalyze account activity and credit exposure for informed credit decisionsAssist with account maintenance and documentation for write-offsAssess customer financial information to evaluate riskNegotiate payment arrangements and reconciliationsCollaborate with customers to resolve outstanding balancesRecommend collection strategies such as payment plans or shipment holdsEscalate complex issues to management when necessaryStay updated on relevant technology and best practicesSupport additional projects as business needs evolve 4. Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentExperience in collections, accounts receivable, customer service, or related fieldsStrong verbal and written communication skillsCustomer-focused with ability to build productive relationshipsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentIntermediate Excel skills and proficiency with Outlook (SAP experience is a plus)Familiarity with credit, collections, and financial account managementKnowledge of credit and bankruptcy regulations preferredStrong organizational skills with effective follow-up and trackingAvailability to work Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST 5.
