Credentialing and Contracting Specialist

About the role

Healthcare Revenue Group (HRG) handles medical billing, credentialing, and payer contracting for practices nationwide. Our team is U.S.-based and works within each client's own systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and track provider enrollments and re-credentialing applications with commercial and government payers.
• Manage contracting with insurance carriers from start to finish.
• Stay current and accurate with CAQH, NPPES, PECOS, and payer portals for every provider you own.
• Keep onboarding and updates moving by being the point of contact between payers, providers, and our internal team.
• Document and track every file's status inside each client's systems and payer portals.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on medical credentialing experience on the provider side (required).
• Bachelor's or associate degree (required).
• Must live in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Sharp attention to detail.
• Strong follow-up and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently across multiple deadlines.

Skills

• Knowledge of CAQH, NPPES, PECOS, and payer portals.
