About the role

The Contracts & Credentialing Specialist plays a crucial role in payer contract administration, provider and facility credentialing, compliance monitoring, and ongoing contract maintenance. This position serves as the primary coordinator for the contract lifecycle, including tracking renewals, amendments, implementation activities, and maintaining contract records.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned payer agreements and contract documentation
  • Review contract-related cost and reimbursement analyses
  • Monitor contract terms, deadlines, and compliance requirements
  • Ensure contract records are complete, accurate, and maintained within electronic databases
  • Maintain and update electronic contract files and related databases (EHR)
  • Serve as a liaison between payers, leadership, and operational departments regarding contract administration matters

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
  • One (1) plus year of experience in healthcare revenue contracting, finance, provider relations or related experience preferred

Qualifications

  • Must be available to attend two (2) weeks of new hire orientation (paid, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)
