About the role
The Contracts & Credentialing Specialist at Devereux-Arizona is responsible for various tasks including negotiations, contract development, contract management, compliance monitoring, and credentialing providers and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage assigned agreements/contracts
- Cost and price analyses for contracted services
- Work with Finance Leadership to ensure costs are allowable, reasonable, and necessary
- Maintain original files (electronic) and related contract databases on all assigned agreements/contracts
- Participate in the ongoing preparation, updating, and implementation of contracts policies
- Create, manage, and update new Payors in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Review all Payor fee schedules for any rate changes
- Complete required documentation to get facilities and providers credentialed with the Payors and added to the existing contracts
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
- One (1) plus year of experience in healthcare revenue contracting, finance, provider relations or related experience preferred
Qualifications
- Must be available to attend two (2) weeks of new hire orientation (paid, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
- Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
- Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
- Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)
