About the role

The Contracts & Credentialing Specialist at Devereux-Arizona is responsible for various tasks including negotiations, contract development, contract management, compliance monitoring, and credentialing providers and facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage assigned agreements/contracts
  • Cost and price analyses for contracted services
  • Work with Finance Leadership to ensure costs are allowable, reasonable, and necessary
  • Maintain original files (electronic) and related contract databases on all assigned agreements/contracts
  • Participate in the ongoing preparation, updating, and implementation of contracts policies
  • Create, manage, and update new Payors in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Review all Payor fee schedules for any rate changes
  • Complete required documentation to get facilities and providers credentialed with the Payors and added to the existing contracts

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
  • One (1) plus year of experience in healthcare revenue contracting, finance, provider relations or related experience preferred

Qualifications

  • Must be available to attend two (2) weeks of new hire orientation (paid, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
