About the role
AMG is an employee-owned company offering a comprehensive healthcare management service. This role is not remote or hybrid.
Responsibilities
- Cook up the credentialing and recredentialing process for medical staff and allied health providers.
- Check provider credentials, including education, training, licensure, certifications, work history, malpractice coverage, and professional references.
- Help with Medical Staff committee meetings, creating agendas, credentialing reports, and documenting committee activities.
- Keep track of license, certification, DEA registration, and other required credentials' expiration dates.
- Promote compliance with CMS, state regulations, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with hospital staff and providers to solve credentialing issues promptly.
Requirements
- HIM and/or Medical Staff credentialing experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to build cooperative relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, and hospital leadership.
