Creative Video Strategist

What You’ll Be Doing

Write and direct video ads with the goal of selling products using a data-driven, test-and-learn approach.
Come up with fresh and innovative concepts/angles for ads and write scripts.
Direct actors and/or celebrity brand partners to elicit authentic and persuasive performances; Formulate and ask interview questions that elicit the most compelling soundbites.
Work with videographers to gather video assets (i.e., identify needed video cover, set-up locations and direct videographers to shoot b-roll).
Provide on-set leadership in collaboration with Production Supervisor, production team, and camera crew.
Collaborate with editors from pre-production to delivery, including providing feedback on edits, assist conceiving of graphics and on-screen text.
Analyze performance data, and use data to create incremental video optimizations that scale.
Leverage AI tools (e.g., for ideation, scripting, editing support, and performance analysis) to accelerate creative production, generate new ad concepts, and enhance testing velocity; stay current with emerging AI capabilities and incorporate them into the creative workflow.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in creative strategy, performance marketing, or direct response advertising
• Exceptional concepting and storytelling skills
• Mastery of on-set creative leadership and understanding of how to successfully direct celebrity partners and actors
• Understanding of direct response marketing
• A highly creative self-starter who can work both independently and collaborate well with different teams
• Available to drive, and occasionally travel, to locations in order to film and gather footage and conduct interviews
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience, preferably in Marketing, Human Studies, or a related field
• Experience applying AI tools to paid social ad creative (e.g., for concepting, scripting, or iteration) is a strong plus

• The base salary range is $75,000-$100,000, plus bonus potential. The posted salary range in this job posting reflects data based on California's cost of labor analysis.
