Creative Team Lead / Theatre Lead Costumer Upper School

About the role

Lead the creative vision and execution of costumes for the Upper School theatre productions. Collaborate closely with the theatre director and other department heads.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce costumes that align with the production’s aesthetic and narrative.
• Work closely with the costume shop staff to ensure timely and quality production.
• Manage inventory and maintain cost-effectiveness in purchasing materials.
• Attend rehearsals and performances to provide feedback and make adjustments as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Costume Design, Theatre, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in costume design and/or theatre.
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous work in theatre and costume design.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience working with a variety of fabrics and materials.
• Proficiency in sewing machines and pattern making.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually.

Schedule
