About the role
Working within Advancement’s Strategic Communications team, the Creative Services Coordinator is tasked with a diverse set of responsibilities. This position works closely with the entire University Advancement and Alumni Engagement team in elevating Utah State University through philanthropy and engagement. The role requires flexibility, proactivity, and a well-rounded set of communications and organizational skills.
The Strategic Communications Team is small, and the expectation is to perform duties related to project management as well as other tasks within the team that may not be explicitly listed in the position description.
Responsibilities
- Organization and Planning - 50%
- Oversee, manage, and maintain ClickUp as the primary project management tool.
- Serve as the gatekeeper and authority on project management, guiding clients’ goals into actionable steps.
- Ensure clients adhere to timelines, follow up on missed deadlines, and secure approvals.
- Maintain organized creative team folders and move projects through production stages daily.
- Process invoices in a timely manner and ensure accurate designations.
- Serve as the technical expert for ClickUp, including training staff and providing updates on usage and production strategies.
- Creative and Strategy - 50%
- Write, edit, and/or proof marketing copy for various advancement and alumni materials, ensuring content aligns with communication goals.
- Gather, organize, prepare, and make decisions about content (text, letters, photos, graphics, etc.) for strategic communications projects from multiple sources.
- Serve as the strategic lead on planning and executing campaigns with multiple components and competing deadlines.
- Prepare files for print and collaborate with print, product, and mail vendors.
- Actively participate in creative concept development sessions.
- Utilize AI strategically as an assistant to original thought, not as a substitute.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Four years of related experience; OR
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, public relations, business management, or a related field; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing ClickUp or a similar project management system.
- Professional writing and proofing experience.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Design skills and creative project production experience (extremely beneficial).
- Experience working in Excel.
Skills
- Project management experience.

Pay
Minimum $46,000 commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits.
