Creative Repair Tech - Tub Specialist
Surface Experts of San Francisco North is hiring a technician to focus on our growing low-impact bathtub and sink refinishing business, in addition to apprenticing to learn many of our spot repair techniques to support the broader business. Our roll-on method minimizes impact to the unit, resident, and technician—we do not spray refinishing glaze.
Responsibilities
- Preparing tubs: light cleaning, removing old caulking, sanding away flaking glaze, masking
- Applying glaze
- Re-caulking
- Leaving the space better than we found it
Most tubs take between 2.5 and 3 hours to complete.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently: driving to job locations, meeting with property maintenance teams, and performing work
- Some experience in services/trades
- Strong English language speaker
- Comfortable wearing a respirator mask for extended periods
- Attention to detail and service minded
- Licensed to operate a passenger car with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 30 pounds, climb stairs, and kneel
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Experience working with your hands (professional or hobby), including maintenance, construction, trades, restoration, and home projects
- Experience working in facilities maintenance is a big plus
