Creative Kids Enrichment Teacher & Tutor (Part-Time) - Towson, MD

About the role

We're looking for fun, creative people with experience working with children. We value fun more than chess mastery.

Responsibilities

• Tell stories to engage children in learning chess
• Use proven curriculum with stories, games, and puzzles
• Follow clear lesson plans and receive training
• Communicate effectively with families, schools, and the team
• Work with children aged 3-7
• Be organized, responsible, and reliable

Requirements

• Fun, animated, and great with children aged 3-7
• Passion for teaching and hospitality
• Organized, responsible, and reliable
• Great communicator - responsive to families, schools, and our team
• Familiarity with chess is a plus but not required
• Background in performance, teaching, or early childhood education is a bonus
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Background check required at hire
• Reliable transportation required

Qualifications

We currently have over 100 teachers / tutors teaching more than 15,000 children a week in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orlando, and now we’re expanding into Maryland!
