POSITION SUMMARY
The Kindergarten Enrichment Teacher at Regents School of Austin supports the school's mission by providing a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment for students during the afternoon enrichment program. Rooted in a Classical, Christian framework, this role fosters joyful engagement through play, creativity, and relationship-building while reinforcing habits of obedience, kindness, and self-control. This part-time position serves students following the academic day and contributes to a consistent and caring extension of the Grammar School experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct Student Engagement & Instruction
- Active Participation: Facilitate and join in age-appropriate activities, including games, arts and crafts, and storytelling, often requiring sitting on the floor or moving between student groups.
- Physical Supervision: Maintain a high level of mobility to monitor student safety across various environments, including the classroom, playground, and gym.
- Positive Environment: Lead physical play and outdoor activities that encourage creativity, cooperation, and social interaction among students.
- Behavioral Support: Get down to eye level with students to establish clear expectations and reinforce habits of respect, self-control, and kindness.
- Program Logistics & Support
- Materials Management: Prepare, organize, and transport materials and equipment to support daily enrichment programming.
- Space Maintenance: Ensure the physical environment is safe and organized by returning all spaces and furniture to their original condition following use.
- Safety Transitions: Efficiently guide students through physical transitions, snack time, and dismissal, ensuring proper staff-to-student ratios are maintained at all times.
- Student Care & Safety Alert Supervision: Maintain continuous physical attentiveness and care through the end of the program day.
- Authorized Dismissal: Ensure students are released only to authorized individuals, checking identification as required.
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience working with young children required.
- Demonstrated alignment with the mission and values of Regents School of Austin.
- Lifestyle and convictions that reflect a Christian worldview.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a safe, structured, and joyful environment.
- Dependable, flexible, and able to respond to the needs of young children.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the classroom and campus for extended periods.
- Ability to sit, bend, kneel, and reach as needed to support classroom activities.
- Ability to lift and carry light to moderate materials (typically up to 20-25 pounds).
- Ability to actively supervise students in classrooms, hallways, and outdoor spaces.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to respond appropriately in emergencies.
