Crane Service Technician - Trainee

About the role

We are seeking an Experienced Crane Service Technician to perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on overhead cranes and hoists, including advanced systems with auxiliary components. The role involves troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, working with VFDs, contactor controls, and complex brake systems, while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Performing maintenance and repairs on overhead cranes and hoists, including advanced systems with auxiliary components
• Interpreting schematics and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
• Working with VFDs, contactor controls, and complex brake systems
• Mentoring junior technicians and supporting project estimations
• Ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards

Requirements

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• The ability to interpret schematics
• Experience in crane or industrial maintenance

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED
• Technical training or certifications preferred
• A valid driver’s license
