CPE Resident-Clinical Pastoral Education

Full-time, Days – Kettering Health Main Campus, Kettering

About the Role

Clinically in-training minister responsible for providing spiritual care to patients, partners, and team members. As a member of the healthcare team, you will evaluate spiritual needs and deliver appropriate interventions under the supervision of the CPE preceptor and educator. You will foster a sense of mission, trust, and belonging within the hospital and healthcare team while maintaining outstanding customer service and respectful relationships with all.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care to patients, partners, and team members.
• Participate as a member of the healthcare team to evaluate and address spiritual needs under supervision.
• Foster a culture of trust, belonging, and mission within the hospital and healthcare team.
• Maintain outstanding customer service and respectful relationships with all individuals.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or master’s degree (completed or in process) in theological or pastoral field or equivalent.
• Completion of 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
• Equivalent degrees considered:
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling or Psychology
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work
  • Meaningful and comparable ministerial-pastoral experience assessed by the CPE center's admissions committee
• Congregational pastoral experience preferred.
