Responsibilities

• Assist in providing pastoral care to patients, their family members and organizational staff.
• Perform or assist with performing pastoral visitation, public worship services and outreach services in assigned areas or to specific faith groups.
• Assist with assessing and responding to the spiritual and emotional needs of those counseled, including crisis intervention and bereavement.
• Participate in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) curriculum and demonstrate a commitment to learning about the ministry of pastoral care, about oneself as a minister and the ways in which one's ministry affects those served.
• Document visits and interventions appropriately according to the standards of the healthcare organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree in Theology, Spirituality or related field preferred.
• 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE is preferred.
• Ordination or equivalency in faith group is preferred.
• 3 years of experience preferred.

Preferred Credential(s): Chaplain, Ecclesiastical Endorsement.
