The 31st Judicial Circuit in Greene County is accepting applications to fill a full-time Court Clerk vacancy. The successful applicant will be assigned clerical responsibilities within a designated area of the court and will be assigned to one of the following departments: Criminal, Finance, Civil, Domestic or Probate. Primary responsibilities throughout these departments include case processing and providing court-related assistance to the public, court personnel, attorneys, and/or law enforcement agencies. Depending upon the departmental assignment, duties may include courtroom responsibilities and/or financial duties. Requirements For Successful Performance Maintain a high degree of accuracy and efficiency in data entry and record management Effectively manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining composure, producing high-quality work, and delivering exceptional service Organize and prioritize workload to ensure compliance with deadlines and time standards Appropriately safeguard sensitive, confidential, and restricted information in accordance with court policies, procedures, and local court rules Demonstrate a strong commitment to individual responsibilities, teamwork, and the overall operational needs of the division and judicial circuit Communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully in both verbal and written interactions Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality Job Duties And Requirements Include, But Not Limited To Case processing within an electronic case management system, including management of assigned queues Answers court related inquiries by phone, email, and in person without giving legal advice Manage and maintain system-generated calendars and reports Attend and actively participate in training and cross training Maintain accurate and current documentation of assigned job duties, processes, and procedures Performs other duties as assigned or when required Minimum Qualifications Associate’s Degree in a related field or at least 60 semester hours from an institution of higher learning and one year of varied administrative experience performing a wide range of technical office duties. Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education. Employment is contingent upon authorization and successful completion of a criminal background check, with results free of disqualifying criminal violations or convictions. EMPLOYEES MAY BE EXPOSED TO: Evidence and testimony that may be disturbing, such as photographs of violent scenes and victims and or sexually explicit material; evidence that may include syringes, drugs, weapons and blood; the public who may potentially be verbally or physically abusive, allergens, such as perfumes and dust; and unpleasant odors, such as unwashed clothing or chemicals offered into evidence. Preferred Qualifications Basic knowledge of court procedures and policies, legal documents, laws and legal factors pertaining to the courtBasic knowledge of organization operations, functions and scope of authority of the courtAbility to work independently and manage time effectively while handling a high-volume workload in an environment subject to frequently changing priorities and high stressAbility to exercise good judgment and make independent decisions in accordance with general policy and objectivesAbility to maintain a variety of complex records and prepare reports from an automated system The State of Missouri offers an excellent benefits package that includes a defined pension plan, generous amounts of leave and holiday time, and eligibility for health insurance coverage.
