About the role
The Office Technician (Typing) serves as the Court Clerk in the Workers Compensation Division, performing a wide range of the most difficult clerical duties. Under the general direction of the Office Services Supervisor II, the incumbent evaluates a variety of incoming legal documents and correspondence using the Electronic Adjudication Management System (EAMS). The position also provides assistance to the Disability Evaluation Unit (DEU), workers' compensation judges, and court personnel.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate incoming legal documents and correspondence using the Electronic Adjudication Management System (EAMS).
- Assist the Disability Evaluation Unit (DEU), workers' compensation judges, and court personnel.
- Retrieve and transport legacy box files safely.
Working Conditions
- Located at 732 Corporate Center Drive, Pomona, CA 91768.
- Works in a smoke-free office under LED lighting with controlled temperature and quiet to moderate noise levels.
- Work environment includes cubicles, computers, and other standard office equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to type at a minimum speed of 40 words per minute for ordinary manuscript or printed typewritten materials.
- Must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming the minimum typing speed prior to being hired.
- Applicants must be reachable on an employment list, have transfer eligibility, or have reinstatement eligibility.
