Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT-5

Responsibilities

• Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages
• Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
• Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area
• Provides related customer service functions
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED
• Minimum Experience: Six (6) months courier experience preferred
• Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions per FMCSA guidance
• Neat appearance required due to customer contact
• Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations
• Requires medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license per state requirements for assigned vehicle type and have a good driving record per policy
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
• Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods

Pay

$22.30 per hour

Schedule

• Sunday–Saturday with days off TBD
• Scheduled hours provide coverage for open shifts due to operational need and vacation, between 04:30–23:00
• Full‑time variable schedule: Monday–Saturday; exact hours and days off TBD
