About the role
Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for assigned routes within the station's service area. Performs related customer service functions.
Responsibilities
- Lifts and moves packages weighing up to 50 lbs using appropriate equipment and assistance.
- Ensures shipments comply with FedEx service standards.
- Coverage of assigned routes within the station's service area.
- Provides customer service functions as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Six (6) months courier experience preferred
- Demonstrated area knowledge
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
- Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently
Qualifications
- Must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations
- Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
- Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with state requirements
- Must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Pay Transparency: $22.30 hourly
- FT Mon-Sat hours vary, day off TBD
