About the role

Responsible for delivering blood products to customer locations and performing scheduled blood pick-ups at Mobile and Donor Center locations. Delivers supplies to the assigned locations.

Schedule

• Part-time position, approximately 19 hours/week
• Variable schedule depending on blood drives, during later afternoon and evening hours

Responsibilities

• Picks up blood at donor centers and mobile drives as scheduled
• Delivers supplies to donor centers and mobile drives as scheduled
• Delivers and returns blood products, to include assigned STAT orders, to customer locations while providing a high-level of customer service
• Returns trash and biowaste from donor centers and deposits it in the appropriate place
• Identifies and reports any routine or non-routine vehicle needs or issues and notifies Supervisor, Inventory Management of additional maintenance needs
• Maintains assigned vehicle in an appropriate manner to include washing and vacuuming and ensuring gas tanks are filled as necessary
• Prepares shipping boxes and shipping supplies as assigned
• Practices safe and compliant driving practices at all times
• Performs special projects as requested
• Complies with all policies and procedures as outlined in the CBC Employee Handbook, CBC SOPs or directives

Requirements

• High School education, or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to organize daily work around scheduled blood pick-ups and deliveries
• Able to follow directions with accuracy
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to lift objects or materials weighing up to 50 pounds
