Courier - Part-time

About the role

Drive a company vehicle to deliver or pick up client samples and packages within a specified area. Directly reports to Client Service Supervisor, Client Ambassador, or Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate on a routed schedule for pick up and/or delivery of materials within established timeframes
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
• Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure vehicles are in proper working condition
• Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements in accordance with company regulations
• Use automatic routing or location software, such as a GPS, provided by the company
• Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards is maintained
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Schedule

Flexible part-time schedule with workdays occurring Monday through Saturday, based on assigned routes and business needs. Shift hours will vary and may begin between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, with end times ranging between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Weekly schedules and daily hours are route-dependent and may vary from day to day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record

Skills

• Punctual, reliable, and exercises good judgment
• Ability to interact with clients as a responsible representative of the company
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment

Vision Requirements

• Close Vision (clear vision at 20 inches/50 centimeters or less)
• Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet/6 meters or more)
• Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area up, down, left, or right while eyes are fixed on a given point)
• Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distance and spatial relationships)

• Ability to see color
