Essential Job Functions

• Picks up mail daily at all schools and county buildings.
• Loads and delivers mail to the central area for sorting and distribution.
• Distributes mail to schools and county buildings daily.
• Sorts mail according to destination and type.
• Prepares mail for US Postal Service.
• Performs daily maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment assigned and reports any problems or needs promptly.
• Works with other warehouse workers, school officials, county officials and staff to resolve problems.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of mail handling equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently with various types of automated equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to read and sort mail; to understand and follow oral and written instructions and to work independently and provide work guidance to others as necessary.
