Columbia County Public Works is excited to announce an excellent career opportunity for a County Road Shop Foreman/Mechanic with an Apprenticeship Option in Dayton, WA. As a vital part of our team, you will play a key role in maintaining and servicing county maintenance equipment and vehicles, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our roadways.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and directing repairs, overseeing service operations, and utilizing your expertise in road maintenance equipment systems, electrical and mechanical testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and computer applications.
Requirements
- Applicants should have or be willing to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) through the county’s training program during their probationary period.
- Preference will be given to candidates who already possess a Washington Class A CDL with an applicator’s license.
Qualifications
This is a bargaining unit position with competitive wages ranging from $29.20 to $30.99 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
