About the Position
To assist the Restaurant Supervisor in ensuring that all patrons have an orderly, attractive, comfortable, and clean environment in which they can dine, all the while looking for opportunities to minister to their needs, and to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them. The individual should have a real passion for God's health message, and for preparing and serving attractive, nutritious, plant-based food to those who are looking to improve or regain their health of body, mind and spirit. This person will also understand that man has a body as well as a soul to save.
What you will be doing
- Assist in preparation of hot food and salad bar items as needed
- Serve food, weigh salad bar items, write customer tickets as needed
- Maintain food safety certification and ensure compliance to all food service rules and regulations, especially hot and cold holding temps
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout service
- Cut and package fresh desserts
- Auxiliary food prep for following day
- Clean restaurant and kitchen after lunch hours
- Dispose of trash
- Auxiliary inventory management for food and supplies needed for all restaurant functions
- Auxiliary storage of all food purchased and supplies ordered
- Auxiliary training of work-study personnel and interns as needed
- Auxiliary special-event catering for churches, schools, customers
- Empty/clean grease trap bi-weekly
