Counterbalance Operator - Cold Storage

Position Summary

The warehouse Counterbalance Operator at MEDLOG Cold Storage/C&K Holdings is responsible for the movement of goods and materials within the facility using a forklift. The position involves loading, unloading, slip sheet attachment, layer picking, and other product movement tasks. This role adheres to BRCGS food safety and defense programs, HACCP guidelines, and OSHA regulations.

Primary Tasks & Responsibilities

• Comply with facility food safety and defense programs as outlined in the BRCGS requirements.
• Conduct daily inspections of the forklift or MHE to ensure its safety and ability to perform necessary operations.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work area.
• Operate under HACCP guidelines for the safe and secure handling of fresh and frozen proteins.
• Pallet movement/product handling within unloading, loading, slip sheet attachment, layer pick attachment and other product movement tasks within the facility.
• Able to use handheld or lift mounted computers (RF) to process the workload.
• Clock in/out and complete required training for license renewal as required.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated and freezer environment with temperatures ranging from +38 to -27 degrees.
• Comply with company policies and procedures along with all customer requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Education/Experience

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, with related experience preferred but not required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift certification is not required but is desired. A solid work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others are essential.

Work Location & Shift

Position works in person, on a 2nd shift from 3:30pm to Midnight.
