About the role

The Counter Sales/Warehouse Associate will partner with our customers to provide industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and other essential supplies. You will serve as a trusted guide, advising customers on the tools, hardware, and materials needed to successfully complete their projects. By demonstrating equipment use and sharing insights on product quality, you help our customers pioneer new solutions in their own work.

Responsibilities

Adhere to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment to ensure a secure environment for everyone.
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external partners, fostering understanding and long-term relationships.
Avoid errors in handling transactions and ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing.
Partner with customers to identify the best tools and procedures for their specific tasks; demonstrate equipment use to build customer confidence.
Manage order entry and processes transactions; assist the team with the reconciliation of deposits.
Coordinate via phone, e-mail, and in person with customers and team members to provide helpful information on costs and delivery.
Contribute to an outgoing call strategy to support the continued growth and success of the branch.
Cook up to 14 weeks of paid leave for the birth of a child.
Coordinate the transfer of merchandise between locations to meet customer needs.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a supportive manner with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
Stock shelves and maintain welcoming showroom displays to provide an excellent customer experience.
Coordinate cylinder movement and pallet organization.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

HS Diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus.
Attention to detail in handling transactions.
Availability for occasional overtime when the team needs extra support.
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments (we also value an equivalent combination of education and unique life experience).
