About the role

This position involves assisting walk-in and phone-in customers with orders, product selection, and payments. You’ll also prepare sales tickets, pick warehouse inventory, maintain counter displays, and work toward monthly sales and gross margin goals. Encouraging the use of digital tools and multitasking in a fast-paced environment are key parts of the role.

Responsibilities

• Greet walk-in customers and assist with order and product selection.
• Enter sales orders and pick items from warehouse inventory.
• Prepare customer sales tickets and collect payments.
• Handle phone-in customers with pleasant and courteous etiquette.
• Maintain counter area displays clean, organized, and stocked with inventory.
• Reach monthly goals in sales and gross margin.
• Encourage the use of digital tools across the customer base.
• Multi-task and prioritize tasks throughout the day.

Requirements

• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in mathematics, verbal, and written communication.
• Ability to effectively communicate information and present solutions to customers.
• Ability to operate computers and relevant software.
• Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for the full length of the assigned shift.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 lbs. (heavier weights with proper equipment).
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform various duties.
• Ability to operate powered industrial trucks safely (training provided).
• Work is performed in both retail and warehouse settings.

Pay

Salary range: $18.50–$20 per hour.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.
