About the role

Tague Lumber is seeking a friendly, motivated Counter Sales Representative to join the Phoenixville location. The ideal candidate will be the welcoming first point of contact, ensuring every customer interaction is positive, helpful, and solution-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers with a friendly, professional approach, helping identify the right products and solutions for their needs
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while supporting new business growth
• Accurately and efficiently process sales orders
• Provide clear and reliable product and order information in person and over the phone
• Maintain a positive, professional, and customer-first attitude in all interactions
• Work collaboratively with team members to support smooth daily operations
• Learn and effectively use our point-of-sale (POS) system

Requirements

• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
• A customer-first mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay organized and effective in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in lumber, millwork, or building materials sales is a plus, but not required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to pass a drug screening, physical, and background check
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
• Bilingual a plus
