About the role

The Counter Sales Person assists customers during the sales/purchase process and responds to inquiries professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain product knowledge and awareness.
  • Market products and suggest alternatives when necessary.
  • Work in a safety-sensitive capacity, maintaining constant awareness and safe behavior.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • One year experience in the electrical industry or relevant product knowledge.
  • Strong mathematical abilities.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • Teamwork and strong customer service orientation.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Use of a computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone.
  • Bend, climb, push, and pull, including handling heavy items up to 70 lbs.
