About the role

The Counter Sales Person assists customers during the sales/purchase process and responds to inquiries professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain product knowledge and awareness.
  • Market products and suggest replacements/alternatives.
  • Work in a safety-sensitive capacity, maintaining constant awareness and safe behavior.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year experience in the electrical industry or knowledge of electrical products.
  • Strong mathematical abilities.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Clear communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Use a computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone.
  • Bend, climb, push, and pull, including maneuvering at heights and in tight spaces.
  • Routinely lift, carry, and transport work-related materials up to 70 lbs., occasionally more.
