Job Summary

The Part-Time Counter Sales role delivers exceptional customer service through in-person, phone, and digital channels while supporting branch operations through order fulfillment, merchandising, and will-call assistance. Schedules range from 20–30 hours per week, based on branch business needs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service through timely, professional communication and resolution of inquiries.
• Manages pricing, product availability, and order status via phone, email, fax, and in-person interactions.
• Processes orders, coordinates deliveries, and ensures accurate and timely fulfillment.
• Maintains strong, solutions-oriented relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Completes all required training and applies knowledge effectively across branch operations.
• Performs general warehouse duties while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment.
• Uses appropriate PPE and conducts routine safety checks on equipment.
• Communicates task status and updates with management throughout the workday.
• Maintains proficiency in company systems for tasks such as data entry, messaging, documentation, and queue updates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of customer service experience.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong aptitude for numerical analysis and mathematical operations.
• Skilled in office technology, including computers, scanners, phones, and virtual meeting tools.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• This is a part-time position scheduled for 20–30 hours per week.
• Employees may be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings or weekends, based on business needs.
• The role includes regular physical activity such as: Lifting 25–50 lbs. for up to 5 hours per shift. Operating forklifts and material handling equipment for up to 6 hours per shift. Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and twisting. Prolonged use of hands, arms, and feet. Periods of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
