About the role
The Counter Salesperson is the first point of contact for customers in PARR retail locations. This role involves providing sales assistance, managing inventory, and interacting with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Aid the Inventory Control Team in maintaining appropriate inventory levels
- Assist outside crews with vehicle loading and delivery preparation as needed
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and other communications for unavailable colleagues
- Clock in on time and be ready to work
- Adhere to all company policies and assist other team members as needed
- Communicate with the Receiver regarding cancelled orders or returned materials
- Communicate with customers professionally via phone, email, and in person
- Complete online training and ERP order entry as necessary
- Manage customer relationships and orders
- Process tax adjustments and Synchrony Bank financing options
- Manage and update inventory and order history
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to operate POS systems, computers, smartphones, and scanners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Class C driver’s license or equivalent
- Knowledge of retail sales principles and building materials
- Ability to type 30+ WPM and perform basic math calculations
- OSHA Certified Forklift License preferred

$21.02 - $25.50 per hour
Schedule
Hours vary based on location, but typically include a mix of indoor and outdoor work, with some overnight travel required.
