About the role
Provide systems analysis expertise to develop new Missile Defense System capabilities to identify lethal objects. Work within a multi-discipline, multi-source/industry team to deliver technical analysis, management, and general scientific support to MDA’s Counter-Countermeasures and Discrimination Directorate. Develop and formulate options for improving the Missile Defense System's discrimination and electronic protection capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical analysis, management, and scientific support for counter-countermeasures and discrimination initiatives.
- Develop and review engineering requirements, concepts of operations, and integrated schedules.
- Conduct technical performance assessments, risk analysis, and mitigation development.
- Develop Electronic Attack/Protection modeling to support analysis and requirements development.
- Create technology maturation plans to transfer potential technologies to program offices.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in a STEM field with at least 12 years of experience.
- Expertise in radar signal processing, scheduling, and object classification.
- Expertise in electronic protection.
- Systems engineering analysis and process management experience.
- Prior experience in technical performance assessments, risk analysis, and mitigation development.
- Active Secret clearance and ability to qualify for a TS/SCI clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Knowledge of MDA systems engineering processes.
- Knowledge of Missile Defense fundamentals, including radar limitations.
- Knowledge of electro-optic fundamentals.
- Knowledge of radar hardware and design.
Travel
Minimal travel required; 10% or less. If travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases is required, candidate must obtain and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
Physical Requirements
