About the role

Provide systems analysis expertise to develop new Missile Defense System capabilities to identify lethal objects. Work within a multi-discipline, multi-source/industry team to deliver technical analysis, management, and general scientific support to MDA’s Counter-Countermeasures and Discrimination Directorate. Develop and formulate options for improving the Missile Defense System's discrimination and electronic protection capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical analysis, management, and scientific support for counter-countermeasures and discrimination initiatives.
  • Develop and review engineering requirements, concepts of operations, and integrated schedules.
  • Conduct technical performance assessments, risk analysis, and mitigation development.
  • Develop Electronic Attack/Protection modeling to support analysis and requirements development.
  • Create technology maturation plans to transfer potential technologies to program offices.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a STEM field with at least 12 years of experience.
  • Expertise in radar signal processing, scheduling, and object classification.
  • Expertise in electronic protection.
  • Systems engineering analysis and process management experience.
  • Prior experience in technical performance assessments, risk analysis, and mitigation development.
  • Active Secret clearance and ability to qualify for a TS/SCI clearance.

Desired Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Knowledge of MDA systems engineering processes.
  • Knowledge of Missile Defense fundamentals, including radar limitations.
  • Knowledge of electro-optic fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of radar hardware and design.

Travel

Minimal travel required; 10% or less. If travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases is required, candidate must obtain and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.

Physical Requirements

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
