Counseling Psychology Adjunct Faculty 2026-2027

Position Summary

The Morgridge College of Education is seeking adjunct instructors for the 2026-2027 academic year to teach graduate courses in Counseling Psychology. Courses may vary. About the Role

This role involves teaching in person once or twice a week (depending on the course), creating and maintaining course Canvas containers, meeting with students as needed, assigning papers, exams, and other deliverables, grading in a timely manner, participating in recruiting and informational events as needed, and collaborating with instructors of other sections if the course includes multiple sections.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree
• Previous teaching experience
• Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults at the graduate level

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD
• Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults in graduate education programs

Work Schedule

While the University’s administrative offices are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas. The University’s academic calendars are posted on the registrar’s website: this link.

Pay

The course rate is $1,290 per credit hour taught.

Schedule

The University of Denver provides a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, available market information, and course enrollment, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
