Counseling Psychology Adjunct Faculty 2026-2027

Position Summary

The Morgridge College of Education is seeking adjunct instructors for the 2026-2027 academic year to teach graduate courses in Counseling Psychology. Courses may vary. More information about the courses can be found on the Registrar’s Office schedule of classes at this link. This posting serves for multiple openings throughout the academic year.

About the Role

This position involves teaching in person once or twice a week (depending on the course), creating and maintaining course Canvas containers, meeting with students as needed, assigning papers, exams, and other deliverables, grading in a timely manner, participating in recruiting and informational events as needed, and collaborating with instructors of other sections if the course includes multiple sections.

  • Grade in a timely manner
  • Participate in recruiting and informational events as needed

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults at the graduate level

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD
  • Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults in graduate education programs

Work Schedule

While the University’s administrative offices are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas. The University’s academic calendars are posted on the registrar’s website: this link.
