Couchbase Engineer

About the role

Design and develop features for Couchbase's distributed NoSQL database platform, including low-latency, highly scalable backend services, vector search/vector databases, and cloud database capabilities. Own features end-to-end—from design and implementation to testing and handoff—while writing high-quality, maintainable code following engineering best practices. Collaborate with engineering, QA, and support teams to deliver production-ready features.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend software development experience
• Strong expertise in C/C++, Java, Go (Golang), or Python
• Excellent understanding of:
  • Data Structures & Algorithms
  • Multithreading and Concurrency
  • Operating Systems
  • Computer Networks
  • System Programming
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
