Sybase Developer

About the role

A Sybase Developer is a database professional who develops, maintains, and optimizes applications that use Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) or other Sybase database technologies (now part of SAP). The role focuses on database programming, performance optimization, and supporting enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop database schemas
• Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures
• Create database objects such as tables, views, indexes, triggers, and functions
• Monitor and improve database performance
• Debug and troubleshoot database issues
• Support database migrations and application enhancements
• Work with application developers and DBAs to ensure reliable, high-performing systems
